2024 Blueseventy Lift Short XL
LIFT Buoyancy Short
The all new LIFT Short updates the popular buoyancy short by mimicking the fit of our iconic HELIX wetsuit. The extra buoyant L.I.F.T panels are now on the front of the legs to create the best performing "wearable pull buoy" we've designed, and the varied neoprene thickness of the shorts encourages proper rotation while swimming.
The LIFT shorts are crafted from 5mm Yamamoto Aerodome neoprene and 3mm flexible Yamamoto neoprene on the sides. An improved waistband sits higher on the hips for a more comfortable fit. The slightly flared leg opening allows for a quicker entry and exit between swim sets. Seams are glued and blind-stitched for maximum durability with pool use.
Neoprene Buoyancy & Flexibility
When it comes to neoprene for swimming, two factors really matter: Flexibility and Buoyancy. Thinner neoprene is more flexible, while thicker neoprene will provide more buoyancy.
Blueseventy products are strategically designed to offer the most flexibility where you need it, such as the arms, shoulders and upper back area. We use thin, 1.5mm - 2mm neoprene in these areas to offer complete freedom of movement throughout your entire stroke.
Thicker neoprene is placed in areas that typically tend to sink for swimmers, and where flexibility is not key. You'll find 4mm - 5mm neoprene in the chest, hips, and upper legs to enhance your swim form to be as efficient and streamlined as possible.
